Paper Paster is a small application that allows you to install Wallpaper(tm) desktop patterns quickly and easily without needing the Wallpaper program. Paper Paster also allows you to convert Wallpaper files into standard 'ppat' resource files, usuable by many other programs.
What are the system requirements?

Paper Paster works on any Macintosh that is capable of displaying color. Paper Paster works under System 6 and System 7, and needs about 384K of memory in order to run.
How do I use it?
----------------
Simply double-click on the Paper Paster icon and a file list dialog box will appear listing all of the Wallpaper files in the current folder. Use standard navigational techniques to find the Wallpaper file you are interested in, and click on it.
You'll notice that once you click on a Wallpaper file, a small "preview" of the pattern is displayed so that you can see what it looks like. If you'd temporarily like to see what the pattern looks like on your desktop, click on the preview of the pattern. Not to worry, your desktop will be restored to the installed pattern when you quit Paper Paster, so feel free to experiment.
Once you have clicked on a Wallpaper file, you'll notice that two buttons, named Convert and Install, become enabled.
Click on the Convert button to convert the Wallpaper file to a 'ppat' resource file; a file format that many programs (including ResEdit) can understand. The suffix ".ppat" is added to the name of the original Wallpaper file to create a new 'ppat' resource file in the same folder as the original.
Click on the Install button to install the selected Wallpaper file as your desktop pattern; this may take a little while, so be patient. Once you have installed a pattern, it will stay as your desktop pattern until you install another one (even after turning your Mac off).
